Employment Supports
Towne House offers a wide variety of employment supports for members including: job development, mock interviews, interview preparation, resume writing, cover letter writing, application assistance, and more. We support three different types of employment which are: transitional employment, supported employment, and independent employment. Transitional employment is a six to nine month temporary placement at a business in the community. Members are paid at least minimum wage and all positions are considered entry level. Members moving into a TE position are trained by staff of the Clubhouse at their new position. These same staff will guarantee call out coverage. Supported employment is a permanent placement where the Clubhouse actively maintains connection with the employer and helps members to obtain and maintain their job. Independent placements are placements made by Clubhouse members who still receive support from Towne House but do not have an active connection between the Clubhouse and employer.
Education Assistance
Education supports at Towne House include: on site tutoring in English, history, budgeting and math. We also maintain an active connection with Bristol Community College, supporting many members to enroll as students in both their associate and HISET preparatory programs.
Housing Resources
Housing supports at Towne House include assistance with applications, assistance in applying for benefits and entitlements, advocacy with landlords, and more.
Health and Wellness
Health and Wellness supports at Towne House include: weekly wellness live streams on a variety of topics, Wellness Wednesday with inhouse wellness groups, twice daily hydration carts, support in accessing local gyms, as well as wellness geared meals Wellness Wednesday and vegetarian meals every Friday. Healthy salads are an every day alternative.
